Kimberley Cruise Season – March to October

With so many cruising options, it can be hard to decide which one suits you. Here are our tips for narrowing it down:
– Reasonable mobility and fitness is required on all Kimberley cruises, but some more so than others. Each boat may have stairs, wet landings and different ways of embarking and disembarking the small excursion vessels. Speak to us about the best option for you. If you have mobility issues we’d suggest one of the larger vessels.

– Decide where you want to go: Some cruises start and end in Broome, making it easy to add in to any holiday, others start or end in Wyndham and transfer to Kununurra – the perfect starting point to explore El Questro or the Purnululu National Park, while others go as far as Darwin and are great for those wanting to add in The Ghan or a Top End adventure.

– Number of passengers: With anything from 12 to 260 guests, there is plenty of choice. Smaller cruises are generally more flexible and you’ll get to know everyone on board, while larger vessels will generally have more staff and facilities on board.

– Travel dates: March, April and early May give you the chance to see the best waterfalls as the Wet Season concludes. June to August is usually cooler, with days around 30 degrees making it perfect for hiking and relaxing on the beach, while later in the season, you’re most likely to spot whales during their migration or even catch a barramundi.
