A visit to Singapore is not complete without exploring the magical Gardens by the Bay. The award-winning, premier horticultural destination wows its visitors daily with a multitude of attractions. Located in the heart of Singapore’s downtown, Gardens by the Bay is home to an extensive collection of over 1.5 million plants! Continue your adoration of plant life at the UNESCO-listed Singapore Botanic Gardens. Take a meander through the National Orchid Garden, with a display of over 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids.

The annual star event is undoubtably the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, including the world’s first ever FORMULA 1-night race. The spectacular is held in mid-September each year and features a unique track which winds through the streets of Marina Bay.

Be sure to time your visit to Marina Bay to witness the light and water show. Held nightly, the outdoor extravaganza is a 15-minute display, viewed from many vantage points around the bay.

The festive season is celebrated with a bang on Orchard Road. The annual light-up transforms the precinct into a Christmas wonderland with lights, music and decorations. Be sure to visit the shopping strip from mid-December until the New Year.

Off the well-travelled sidewalks discover Haji Lane, lined with 19th century shophouses, where you’ll discover a quirky mix of cafes, bars and indie boutiques. Weather

Sitting just to the north of the equator ensures Singapore’s climate is hot and humid – tropical, year-round. The daily temperature averages 32 degrees, while overnight drops to 25 degrees Celsius.

Navigating the city

Singapore has one of the most efficient transport networks in the world. The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) system allows you to traverse the city exploring in comfort and with ease. If you’re keen to explore, purchase a Singapore Tourist Pass, allowing you unlimited travel for one, two or three days.
